Last Day at Disney

We spent our last day at Disney at the Magic Kingdom. That is by far my favorite park and I felt that it would be a good ending to our trip. We ate breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends and that was awesome! Overall the trip was fantastic. There is a lot we still need to see. You just can't see it all in one trip :)

These cute topiaries were in the restaurant at the breakfast. Only they didn't have a piglet one, and I don't know why?

Mickey and Minnie!
Disney World is having the year of a million dreams and as we were leaving Mickey's Judge tent the dream team was waiting outside. We were given these...and the only way to get these was to have the dream team give them to you. They say the year of a million dreams on the front and 2008 on the back.

Then we went off and found some other characters.









Okay so to keep this post from getting any longer I'll post the pictures from our last night either Saturday or Monday. And that my friends will be the last Disney post! Happy Weekend all!

This is my 200th post!!

Bring out the band this is my 200th post! So it seems appropriate that my 200th post covers our third day of Disney which just happened to be our 2nd anniversary!
We went to Animal Kingdom and then that night went back to Epcot to catch their fireworks show Illuminations. We also toured around the "world" trying out different foods. Some pictures of course and a little video of a surprise recycling bin at Animal Kingdom...check it out :)

Disney's Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney

We spent day 2 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Nothing too exciting there but we did get a free dessert with lunch because of our handy dandy Mickey and Minnie anniversary pins that we wore everywhere :) Can't beat that lol.

See those little pins we have on? Those are the cutest Mickey and Minnie pins that say Happy Anniversary. You can get them at any of the theme parks and they have them for Anniversary, Birthday, and Just Married. Also when we checked into our resort they gave Wes a 1st visit pin. Oh yeah and they are FREE!!!

If you go to Hollywood Studios check out the show Lights Motors Action! Awesome stunt show with lots going on. Probably the highlight of Hollywood studios for us. We also enjoyed Muppet Vision 3-D and the above picture was taken at the Muppet fountain outside of this attraction.
Later that evening we decided to go to Downtown Disney to eat at Planet Hollywood. Our resort had a ferry boat that took you there and it was a nice little ride.

This is the Magnolia Bend side of the Port Orleans Resort. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou part and I am kicking myself because we never got any pictures of it. But it was very nice!

Day One Part Two

Thanks to the fabulous park hopper option on our tickets we were able to go to any of the parks as much as we wanted. Pretty cool and handy if you ask me. So Sunday night we went to the Magic Kingdom because they had what they call Extra Magic hours this night. This meant that any Disney resort guest was able to participate and the park stayed open three hours later to those resort guests. So this meant that the Magic Kingdom was open till 2am this night. We didn't make it that long but still it was nice since it wasn't near as crowded. So here are a few pictures of the nighttime version of Magic Kingdom and a video of the preview of the 4th of July fireworks that Disney was putting on.

Nothing speaks Disney like the "its a small world" ride.

The new Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin ride in Tomorrowland is the bomb. Combine a ride and shooting video game into one and you have a ride that me and Wes rode 3 times!

And then we got a short video of the fireworks. We were standing in Tomorrowland so it's not the greatest vantage point...but it's something :)

Disney Day One Part One

We arrived at the Port Orleans resort on Saturday night at about 9pm their time...which meant 8pm our time. We should have been an hour earlier but storms had us circling above Orlando's airport for about 40 minutes before we could land. No harm done though. The hotel was fabulous and we were excited to be there!
Sunday morning we went to Epcot. We mainly toured around the World Showcase as Wes is obsessed with other countries. We took lots of pictures.

Sorry this picture is blurry. It was taken inside the Mexico pavilion. The only issue I have with my Sony Cybershot is the twilight photo settings. They are not my favorite.

Ever hear of the Day of the Dead in Mexico history? This was a neat scene they depicted about it.

We met Mexico Donald! He was our first character experience.
Then it was on to some other countries. We had some fun in Norway.



Then some other countries including Japan, Germany, and Italy.





And even some of China.


We ended the morning/early afternoon in Canada. There we saw a kilt and combat boot wearing bagpipe rock band named Off Kilter. We really enjoyed them! So much in fact that we bought one of their CD's. Here is a short video I took of them.

We're Back!!
