Happy Birthday to Me!

I enter the world of 28 today. So far so good :) Saturday night we had a family dinner at my parents. The above photo is where Macy wanted to help me blow out my candles on my cake. Too cute. And I have one more too cute picture of her. She has been fascinated with her tongue lately.

Okay off to spend my day doing things I want to do :) Tonight Wes is taking me to eat at either Carrabas or Olive Garden, and then possibly a movie :) One more quick picture...I have officially become a Vera Bradley bag owner. Thanks mom :)

Here's to a great year of 28 :) Happy Monday all!

Annoyed at its finest

So this morning I take Savanna to the vet to be spayed. I drop my poor, shaking, stressed out kitty off with the promise of being back to get her at 5 this afternoon. About 30 minutes ago the vet calls me wanting to know her history of vaccines. She hasn't had any yet. I had already explained this once before, saying that I wanted her to have her shots, and be spayed. They told me then that we could get her spayed first, then two weeks later get her shots. Fine.
Well so now I am on the phone with them hearing that they want to give her shots to her today and then have me bring her back in two weeks to get spayed then. Frustrating because now I am going to have to take her and drop her off again, when this act clearly stresses her out! Not to mention I have to pay two separate exam fees now. Banfield runs this special on Thursdays from 2-4 to give vaccines for only the cost of vaccines. No exam fees. But today is Wednesday so they basically didn't give me any choice but to have her shots done today, and then take her back at a later date to have her spayed. So yes this is annoyance at its finest. I just want her spayed already because she is spraying everything!! Why couldn't they have said do her shots first, then we'll fix her? Why did they tell me the other way around?
Okay rant over! Happy Wednesday!

10 on Tuesday

1. My birthday is in 7 days. 28 here I come!
2. We leave for Disney in T minus 10 days!
3. That means that our 2nd anniversary is in 13 days!
4. Wes got our storm door installed yesterday evening and it looks good.
5. I hate flys! They get in our house and I feel like I am constantly stalking them with the swatter.
6. We are laying sod in the side yards Saturday morning. I think it's going to be HOT!
7. My mom is making my birthday dinner Saturday night and it consists of Poulet! I love that stuff!
8. I'm taking Savanna to get the snip snip tomorrow morning.
9. Took my dad to eat Sunday afternoon. Found out that when he was in Vietnam he met John Wayne. Like actually shook his hand. How cool is that?
10. Macy's birthday is coming up. Looking for ideas on a present. What do you get an almost three year old who has everything? I do believe I will get her a pair of mouse ears with her name on them at Disney. But what else?
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Monday Movie Review: I give it 4 out of 5 stars :)

The Incredible Hulk

Awesome movie. Edward Norton and Liv Tyler had excellent chemistry together! The plot was pretty exciting. The effects were good as well. The story line follows Bruce Banner trying to find a cure for his "condition" that was brought on by Gamma ray exposure. However, his old love Betty's father is leading a manhunt for him so he can steal his condition and use it as a government weapon. There is some light comedy in it like when he is in South America trying to fend off some guys trying to fight him and he is trying to tell them in either Spanish or Portugese (I'm not sure which) not to make him angry. He says "Don't make me hungry...you wouldn't like me when I'm hungry." It was pretty funny because these punks where like totally confused lol. It even has a cameo by the original Hulk from the TV show. I really enjoyed it. It has a special surprise at the ending as well.
So far my two favorite movies this summer have been two old marvel comics lol.
Ironman, and The Incredible Hulk. So run to the theaters and watch BOTH of these! I promise you will not be disappointed.
Up next on my list is The Love Guru with Mike Myers. Hoping my hubby will take me to see if for my birthday next week.
Happy Monday all!

Thursday Thoughts (Warning...some may be bitter)

I'm sitting here, should be doing something else, anything else, but lol I am not.
1.My 28th birthday is in 11 days. Ever since I got married my b'day gets overshadowed. Because my anniversary is 8 days after it. The other day my mom was like what do you want for your birthday...and I was like oh yeah I do have one of those coming up. It was like I had completely forgot. That never would have happened when I was a kid :) But seriously the next three weeks are crazy with events.
This Saturday is my parents 38th wedding anniversary.
Sunday is father's day.
The 23rd is my b'day.
The 26th is Chris and Susan's anniversary.
We are leaving for Disney on the 28th.
And our anniversary is the 1st of July.
Then Macy turns 3 on July 19th.
Yeah that's a lot :)
2.We are laying sod in the rest of our side yards on the 21st. Looking forward to having sod, but not looking forward to the actual putting down of it. It started out that it was going to be me, Wes, my dad, and Chris laying it. Then Wes' mom was like we are coming to help too. I know many hands make small work. But I don't really like it when my family and my in-laws get together. They are just two opposite ends of the spectrum. I hate that I feel that way. We just don't put the two families together too much. I guess I should get used to it though. When a baby enters the mix, I imagine there will be lots of times that everyone is together. I'm awful for feeling the way I do though.
3.I'm taking the five kittens to the vet today to get their first round of shots. That should be fun. They have never ridden in a car before, never even left this house before, never been away from Savanna. She is going to freak out thinking I am taking her babies from her. Savanna gets the snip snip next Wednesday. I'll be glad to have that done, because when she goes into heat, it's I'm sorry to say, but annoying.
I told Wes that they all are going to be mad at us over the next few weeks because we have to board them while we go to Disney. Usually my parents watch Savanna when we are out of town, but they will be gone on an Alaskan cruise at the same time so for the first time ever I am boarding my baby and her babies. I hope they don't hate us.
4.Father's Day is Sunday and me and Wes are seperately going to see our dad's. Wes wanted us to go on Saturday to his parents, and then Sunday my dad. But we have to go to Jasper on Saturday morning so I can get fitted for that dress, and then there was some things that I wanted to do Saturday afternoon around here. So I told him that we could each go see our dad seperately. He isn't happy about it, but I told him I saw his parents last weekend, and he would see my parents the weekend after Father's day because after our sod laying we are having my birthday dinner at mom's and dad's. So that is the best solution I can come up with.
5. We have lived in this house a year and two weeks. Believe it or not but Wes' dad has never seen our house. Ever. If they really do come help us lay sod, then that will be the first time he has ever seen it. That is if they come help.
Okay that's enough. I need to do something productive now. Sorry some of my thoughts sound bitter :( I'm not bitter, just aggravated :) I hope everyone is having a great Thursday.

A heavily picture loaded 10 on Tuesday

1. Our computer is finally behaving itself and I can post again!
2. Check out my other blog for some pictures of a cute baby :)
3. Went to a family friends wedding on the 31st. It was at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens and it was one of the prettiest weddings I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure it cost in the 25k-30k price range.

They are releasing doves here. I have never actually been to a wedding that has done that. It was pretty neat.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Mouser.
4. I got a haircut. Finally. Here is a picture before I got it cut to give you a perspective on just how long it was.

And then here is a pic of me and Wes at the wedding and you can kinda tell how short it has gotten.

5. We worked Vacation Bible School last week at church. We had soooo much fun. Both me and Wes worked with the four year olds. We were assigned 3-5 children per group and our group had three. Two girls, Haley and Gillian, and one boy, Alec. Here are a few pictures.

That is a giant beaker that is filled with balloons. Our theme was power lab.

One of the only times you will see me and Wes in matching clothes lol.

6. I went to see the Sex in the City movie Sunday afternoon with a friend. It was her choice. I never really got into the tv show but I had a basis of what it was about. I was really surprised that it only has a "R" rating. I would have thought that it would be at least NC-17...it had some definite eyebrow raising scenes in it. If you are wanting to see it, wait to rent it. It wasn't that fabulous.
7. We got a storm door yesterday for our front door. I'm so ready to get it installed.
8. My parents wedding anniversary is this Saturday. They are celebrating 38 years of marriage!
9. My birthday is in 13 days. We head to Disney in 18 days. My second anniversary is in 21 days. Got a lot happening in the next 3 weeks.
10.
This young lady is my cousin Ashley. She is getting married in December. That makes me feel soooo old! But she asked me to be a bridesmaid. I was supposed to go get fitted for a bridesmaid dress yesterday but we had to change it to this Saturday. Now here is my dilemma. As many of ya'll know we are TTC...so if this month is our lucky month then I'll be around 5 months along at the time of her wedding. So what should I do about sizing for the dress? She is aware that we are trying and she suggested that I just order the dress a couple of sizes to big. The theory is that it is easier to take in a dress (if I'm not, or not as far along) than add fabric to it. So what do ya'll think? She needs to get them ordered ASAP according to the bridal salon.
Okay that's enough for now. I hope everyone has a happy Tuesday!

Sorry I have been M.I.A.

Our computer wacked out on us last Saturday so needless to say I was not able to get on the internet. It's all better now, and I am super thankful I have a technologically inclined husband cause Lord knows I don't have a clue about that kind of stuff. :)
But this post is going to be short because I have to go get some much needed groceries, wash my car, and weed my flower bed. Tomorrow we are going to carry a dresser back to Greenhill that we no longer need and have no room for, and also go buy a storm door for our front door. I'm super excited about that one :) Sunday we've got church, and the hanging out with some friends that we haven't seen in a while. Monday I have to go to Jasper to get fitted for a bridesmaid's dress for my cousin's wedding. But I promise that I will have a 10 on Tuesday post with pictures. Oh and you'll have to check out my other blog too that day because I'll have a couple pics of my cousin Will's brand new baby boy.
But before I go I want to say something:

Happy Birthday Lauren!!!
Hope you have a great day on Sunday and enjoy your last non-Mommy b'day :)

To everyone else hope you have a fantabulous weekend!
